Balanced - Unbalanced Plank

Original site of work installed for the Estuary Park Sculpture Project, which was included as part of the 12th Annual International Sculpture Conference. Gift of the Oakland Museum Art Guild, Women's Board, Concours d'Antiques, private donations, and the National Endowment of the Arts. No documentation has been found that explains why the sculpture was removed from the site or where it exists now.


Bamboo/bones sculptures

8-9 foot tall "stalks" of ceramic bamboo sections (or bone shapes?) topped by small sculpture figures in the front yard.


Barnes and Noble Fountain

Geometric patterns create the texture of this organic fountain.


BART ART

Petal-like shapes cover multiple walls in MacArthur BART station...mid 1960's?


Beach School Kindergarden murals

WPA era murals painted on the upper wall areas of the childrens classroom. Probably painted in 1930's-1940's.


Bear

A life size wooden bear looks out from the bird feeding area.


Bench Sculpture

Long bench in courtyard southeast of the World Savings building with J.B. Blunk, J B signed Founder's mark. The current existence of this work has not been confirmed.

Black Panther Legacy Tour wall

Installation art at the It's All Good Bakery includes various article related to the history of the legendary Black Panther movement from it's birthplace in North Oakland.

Large scale mural with plywood additions. Pool player, with scale that puts viewer in her aim.

Broadway Building Figures

From SOS: description "Two pair of granite figures on a building. The first pair flank a clock which rests on the corner of the building. The pair are half-length nude figures; the one on the proper left is female, the one on the proper right is male. Each has an arm resting on the ornamentation surrounding the clock. The male holds a knot of heavy rope in his proper right arm. The bottom of each figure merges into foliage ornamentation which surrounds the clock. The second pair of figures stand atop the corner of the building and flank a flagpole. The pair are classically-styled full-length figures and stand on either side of an over-sized shield; each rests an arm on the shield."
